McLaren Speedtail Looks Amazing In Forza Horizon 4

McLaren’s new #DriveatHome initiative is all about gamers sharing their ultimate McLaren snaps from Forza Horizon 4. The recently added Speedtail is just one of the models you can choose to control.

In fact, Forza Horizon 4 gives you access to nearly every single McLaren car, and according to the automaker, playing this game can help keep you safe (and entertained) while you’re at home practicing social distancing.

McLaren says that #DriveatHome is about “creating new content with these incredible cars, all from the safety of your own home. Using Forza Horizon 4’s digital microcosm of Britain, we will be embarking on weekly adventures in different McLaren cars and sharing our favourite photos on social.”

Getting involved with social media is just one of McLaren’s digital strategies regarding the Forza racing franchise. In fact, the British carmaker will help fans get through these challenging times by bringing them a series of episodic films, all of them shot in-game and featuring some of the most “famous faces within the McLaren brand.”

McLaren is on a roll right now, both in terms of passenger cars as well as motorsports. The carmaker keeps churning out all these spectacular supercars and hypercars, the latest being the aforementioned Speedtail with its Formula E-derived technology. The hybrid powertrain combines a 4.0-liter internal combustion engine with an electric drive unit for a total of 1,070 PS (1,055 HP) and 1,150 Nm (848 lb-ft) of torque. It’s why the Speedtail can max out at a staggering 403 km/h (250 mph).

As for their work on the race track, McLaren is currently in a resurgence when it comes to Formula 1. They finished last season in fourth place behind only Mercedes, Ferrari, and Red Bull, and are set to ditch their Renault power unit for a Mercedes one in 2021.
