Dodge Charger Driver Claims He Did Double The Speed Limit To See If His Wheel Was Rattling

The driver of a Dodge Charger had a run-in with the law in Ontario, Canada and his excuse for speeding didn’t go down well with the police.

Taking to Twitter, the PRP Road Safety Services account of the Peel Police stated that the Charger was pulled over for doing 152 km/h (94.4 mph) in an 80 km/h (50 mph) zone. There is no reasonable excuse to justify driving at almost double the speed limit, but that didn’t stop the driver of the Dodge from trying to talk his way out of a ticket.

According to the local police, the male driver of the Charger claimed that he was driving at such high speeds to “see if his rim was rattling.” As excuses go, that’s a pretty terrible one and the police officer, Constable Maye, didn’t much care for it, saying he would get the impound lot to check if the wheel was rattling or not.

For a typical motorist, the suspicion that something may be wrong with their vehicle doesn’t prompt them to speed up; on the contrary, it encourages them to slow down out of fear that there might be an issue with their car, or even pull over to the side of the road to check out what’s happening. Speeding up definitely isn’t a wise option; but then again, it’s very likely that the man just tried to find an excuse and hoped it would work.

Cyclist And Motorbike Rider Collide in Canada, Who Is At Fault?

Helmet cam vision from a motorcyclist in Canada has captured the moment the biker and a cyclist collided on a city street.

In the lead-up to the crash, the biker, who appears to be riding a Kawasaki Ninja 250, can be seen waiting at a traffic light next to a second biker. All of a sudden, a cyclist comes up on the right and speeds right through the red light, without a care in the world. Not happy, the Kawasaki rider quickly accelerates away as the lights turn green, seemingly to catch up to the cyclist.

As the cyclist and the rider approach a second set of traffic lights, the cyclist briefly swerves out of the right-most lane, crosses into the left lane, and then quickly makes a right-hand turn, cutting off the motorcyclist and resulting in a collision that saw the cyclist thrown off his bike.

The motorcyclist soon pulls over and confronts the cyclist, alleging that he swerved right in front of him and caused the crash. The cyclist, on the other hand, claims the biker isn’t allowed to pass him on the right and was in fact the one responsible for the crash. The aforementioned second biker soon returns to the scene of the crash and also claims it was the motorcyclist the caused the crash.

Most of the people commenting on the YouTube video and other forums are blaming the cyclist, alleging that by crossing into the left lane before swerving back into the right lane and making the turn without signaling, he is at fault. Do you agree with that?

Honda Civic Type R Limited Edition Sold Out In Four Minutes In Canada

Its looks may be as divisive as ever, but the 2020 Honda Civic Type R Limited Edition is proving popular – so much so that it recently sold out in Canada in just four minutes.

Even before the lightweight Civic Type R Limited Edition was unveiled earlier this year, all 20 units heading to the UK were sold. In Canada, where 100 examples are heading, it took just four minutes from when the order books opened online before all units were snapped up by eager buyers. To secure the car, each buyer had to put down a $1,000 deposit.

All 2020 Honda Civic Type R Limited Edition models heading to production, regardless of the market, are painted in a bright shade of Phoenix Yellow, also dubbed Sunlight Yellow in Europe. The hot hatch also underwent some weight saving in a bid to improve its performance.

American models are 46 lbs (20.9 kg) lighter than the standard car thanks to the fitment of forged BBS wheels, a reduction in the sound-deadening materials used, and the removal of things like the rear wiper, tonneau cover, and rear heated ducts. In Europe, the weight-saving measures go further and include the infotainment system being ditched, and no air conditioning.

Continuing to power the Civic Type R Limited Edition is the familiar 2.0-liter direct-injected and turbocharged four-cylinder VTEC engine, rated at 306 hp and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) and coupled with a six-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential.

Canadian Police On Hunt For A Driver Who Really, Really Hates Gas Pumps

Hilarious footage has emerged out of the city of Brandon in Manitoba, Canada showing an angry man repeatedly hitting and smashing a gas pump.

Brandon police released the surveillance video that was filmed on April 25 at a gas station on Highland Avenue.

In the video, an older gentleman can be seen hitting the gas pump with his fist on multiple occasions as he tries to pump fuel. He grows increasingly irritated and even starts kicking the gas pump before he pulls out the nozzle and hits the fuel pump with it. Before long, he throws the nozzle and the hose up into the air and drives off.

Police told Global News that the man was upset after being asked to pay before pumping.

“He wasn’t pleased about being asked to pre-pay for his fuel and unfortunately decided to take it out on the gas pump,” said Brandon Police spokesperson Const. Myran Hamm last Friday. “There’s a complaint of mischief because there was some damage done to the pump.”

Authorities are asking anyone who recognizes the man to call them or Crime Stoppers.

While it can be frustrating to pay before fueling up, it’s bizarre to see someone get so upset with it. For the sake of other drivers, we hope the man was able to cool down when he got back behind the wheel because you don’t want someone to be driving around as angry as this.
